I placed an order for an "In Stock" Ryobi brushless jigsaw on February 24th as it was the best price I could find at the time and sold my own jigsaw in order to put the proceeds towards the new item.
Three days later the item was out of stock, but they hadn't dispatched my order in those few days!
COVID-19 lock-down hadn't started at this point, but I was in no real hurry, so was prepared to wait.
Then on February 27th, the emails started, informing me that the item I'd ordered was out of stock and wouldn't be back in stock until 4th May 2020.
Then the same email on March 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th reminding me that my item was delayed until May 5th.
A follow up email on March 10th asked me if I wanted to cancel, which I did not, as I had already sold my own jigsaw and needed a worthy replacement!
Then the next set of emails arrived on May 11th, 18th, 25th, informing me that my order was further delayed until July 23rd 2020.
Another follow email on June 19th asked if I wanted to cancel, which again, I did not!
Lock-down had been in full swing for a while by this time, so the delay was understandable and I was still prepared to wait until July 23rd for my order to be fulfilled.
Then today, June 22nd, I get an email saying my order has been cancelled, without me asking for it.
I wouldn't be so bothered if I hadn't sold my old Ryobi jigsaw cheap in order to subsidise this purchase, which was in stock at the time of ordering, which I wouldn't have done if I'd known they were going to mess me around.
Disgusting behaviour and service!

***UPDATE 23/06/2020***
Follow up email then goes on to say that the item was "Discontinued By Manufacturer".
However, a quick email to Ryobi Europe and the reply says something different and I quote:
"The R18JS7-0 Jigsaw has not been discontinued, and I can see we still have stock in our own warehouse".
So it looks like someone at 'TooledUp' is either lying or just doesn't want to fulfil my order at the discounted price.
This contemptuous behaviour from "Tooled Up" shows just how low their integrity is and they should in my opinion be avoided, but you take your own chances I guess.

This so-called "Discontinued" item is strangely showing as "Stock due 24 July 2020" on the "Tooled Up" website now!

Waiting for item for over a month can’t make contact in any form at all , taken money no feed back confirming delivery date order WB00072206 disgusting service I realise due to virus businesses are suffering but other items I’ve ordered manage to turn up
